Leicester City manager, Brendan Rodgers has come out to say that he would have loved to sign Ademola Lookman on a permanent deal. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, Lookman was definitely good for Leicester City last season because he got more than 10 goals and assists during his period on loan, but the club just was not able to make it happen.
Brendan added that he and his players will just have to adapt this season amid the lack of signings.
His words, “I would have loved to have signed Ademola [Lookman], who was great here last season and got over 10 goals and assists but we weren’t able to do that,”
“Unfortunately that means we then have to look at the squad and the team and try to adapt, and then put them out to be as best organised as they can be.”
“At this moment in time, I would say no. That was the frustration for us, that with Barnesy out, we didn’t have a direct replacement.”
