Ex Spain captain, Vero Boquete has come out to insist that Luis Rubiales’ bad actions at the Women’s World Cup can prompt a change for something good. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, the incident can make the right push to ensure the football persons in power are always on their best behavior when they carry out their jobs.
Vero added that UEFA would like to thank Luis Rubiales for his many years of service to European football.
His words, “UEFA acknowledges the public discourse surrounding Mr. Rubiales and his recent actions but would also like to thank him for his many years of service to European football. In view of the ongoing legal proceedings, UEFA has no further comments to make on this matter.”
“What happened in the last three weeks is a mess, but at the same time it can be the right push. How you use a bad situation, bad actions, to change something for good?”
“We have the opportunity here.”
