FIFA has come out to blast ex RFEF president, Luis Rubiales for the harm his unsolicited kiss on Jenni Hermoso has done to football and Spain’s women’s team. FIFA recently had its say via a press statement, and fans have been reacting.
According to the football governing body, Rubiales’ unsolicited kiss and his obscene behaviour during the final clearly tarnished the success of Spain at the Women’s World Cup tournament, because it took the attention away from their achievement.

FIFA added that Rubiales’ alleged attempts to pressure Hermoso to testify in his favour was also intolerable, so his suspension was fully justified.
It read, “In view of how the General Assembly of the RFEF was developed and particularly the communications -from the union- Futpro and from the player, which contained serious accusations against Rubiales, the adoption of the suspension is justified,”
“Threatening the player with legal measures simply because she expressed her opinion about what happened or, what is more serious, putting pressure on the player and her environment, is intolerable and obstructs disciplinary procedures.”
WOW.
