Inter Milan striker, Romelu Lukaku could play American football, Antonio Conte has said. He recently revealed that it is very simplistic to say that the Belgium striker is only good when he has open space.
According to him, insinuating such is total nonsense, because it is clear that once Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez get into their opponent’s box, there can never be joy for the defenders.
He added that Lukaku is an unusual footballer, who is fast, can play as a centre forward, and can also play effective football as a target man.
His words, “It is too simplistic to say that he is good when he has open space.”
“I wish they would let him get into the box! Lukaku or Lautaro [Martinez] in the box, I don’t think they are a joy for defenders.”
