Tragedy struck in Adamawa State as an unidentified man reportedly took his own life by hanging himself in the Doubeli area of Jimeta, Yola North Local Government Area.
According to eyewitnesses, the lifeless body was discovered on Saturday morning hanging from a tree at Sauki Transport Motor Park, located at the popular Doubeli Junction.
The motive behind the act remains unclear, as the deceased left no note or clue explaining his decision.
However, some residents speculated that economic hardship and social pressures may have contributed to the incident.
As of the time of filing this report, the police had yet to release a comprehensive statement on the matter. The Adamawa State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje, confirmed the incident, stating that the command has commenced an investigation.
“The command is aware of the incident and has launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the death,” Nguroje said.
