Manchester United have made an improved offer for Borussia Dortmund playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan approaching the Germans’ valuation of £30 million, according to the Star. Upping their initial bid of £18m by £10m could be enough to strike a deal for the Armenian.
United are keen to add the 27-year-old in time for their tour to the Far East next month, though Dortmund are resistant after already losing Ilkay Gundogan and Mats Hummels this summer.
Mkhitaryan would likely operate as the No. 10 in Jose Mourinho’s 4-2-3-1. After registering astonishing numbers last season — 23 goals and 32 assists — he could inspire an immediate title push.uu
