Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta has refused to apologize for the booking he collected for waving an imaginary card around during the game vs Manchester City. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, he simply cannot change from his old ways as quickly as people want, but he will try to adjust the way he reacts to frustrating decisions during games.

Arteta added that managers will have to also learn to adapt to remaining in their technical area when venting on the sideline.
His words, “I cannot change my behaviour in three days. It’s a very difficult thing to do, and next time we cannot ask him to say, okay, tomorrow we play with no offsides’ and the linesman says ‘what is he doing?’. We try our best, I try my best. I understand the rules, I understand where they’re coming from. But we can get frustrated there because sometimes we don’t know what part of the technical area we are. But it’s fine, we will adapt.”
On the long additional time, “At the end, it’s about effective time. I think it’s really good to do that, because it was going too far I think and now teams are going to have to think twice. Now we have to be prepared to play 100 minutes because it’s going to happen every single week.”
