The Osun State Government on Wednesday declared Thursday a work-free day for residents of the state.
The Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr Sunday Akere, made this public in a press statement.
According to the statement, the gesture is to commemorate the June 12, 1993, presidential election.
The statement said the day was to mark the election presumably won by a business mogul, Chief Moshood Abiola (MKO), but annulled by the then military regime. [NAN]
