Manchester City striker, Sergio Aguero has admitted that it will be too difficult for his club to catch up with Liverpool again this season.
After City lost 3-2 vs Wolves, Liverpool extended their winning streak in the English top-flight to 10 matches on Sunday by defeating the same team 1-0 after a Sadio Mane strike.
Despite winning 2-0 vs Sheffield United on Sunday via goals from Aguero and Kevin De Bruyne, Sergio believes his team will find it hard to win a 3rd consecutive EPL title, and UCL should be their priority now.
His words, “Now, Liverpool is too hard. We have to focus just on winning because we need to play Champions League next season,”
“We have to play the same way and see what happens.”
“Like everyone say we are out, we have no chance. We are thinking about ourselves and the next game. To think how many ways to win to be close is a stupid way to think.”
“It’s unrealistic to think about [catching Liverpool],”
“When a team has the numbers that Liverpool has, why should we think about it, when we are 14 or 17 behind?”
