Manchester United have constantly been linked with a move for their former starlet Paul Pogba in recent weeks.
.
Whilst some reports have suggested that the French international will snub a move back to Old Trafford, others have suggested he could be tempted by a Red Devils reunion.
.
And if there is a possibility for United to bring back the extremely talented midfielder, then they must do all they can to bring him to Old Trafford.
.
There can be no doubting that Paul Pogba is the one that got away for Sir Alex Ferguson. The ex-United boss clearly didn’t think he was ready for first-team action and he paid the ultimate price.
.
Since Pogba switched Old Trafford for Turin, he has become a world-wide recognised superstar and is now thought of as one of the hottest talents in Europe. That’s why the current price being floated around for the player’s services is around the mega £40 million mark.
.
So, should Manchester United as a club swallow their pride and pay a mega fee for a player they let go for free just a couple of years ago?
.
Yes, they should. Of course there would be a number of questions asked if United did swoop for Pogba.
.
Many would wonder as to why Pogba wasn’t given his opportunity earlier.
.
However there’s a new man at the helm at United and Moyes should bring a player to the club that can star for years. United could buy Pogba for a club record fee of £40m now and sell him for the same figure or even more in five years time.
.
It’s a long term investment and it’s worth the risk. At 20-years-old, he already possesses the ability to control midfields. His powerful force, wonderful vision and natural ability means he’s the ideal player for Moyes and United.
.
With him dictating things in the side, Manchester United’s players, who have struggled for confidence this season, may start to fire again.
.
Pogba has the ability to to emulate Manchester United’s former captain Roy Keane at the Theatre of Dreams. The French star is already a leader on the pitch, a future captain and a player Manchester United should go all out to re-sign.
