It seems Jose Mourinho’s remaking of Manchester United isn’t over yet, with Santos star Gabriel Barbosa heading to Old Trafford, according to the Sun.
Last week, Santos president Modesto Roma said an Inter Milan bid for the 19-year-old Brazil forward had been accepted, with Leicester City, Juventus, Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid also interested.
But the Sun reports that United “are ready to blow the opposition out of the water” by tabling a £30 million bid in the next couple of days, leaving Mourinho “in pole position to land the superkid.”
It adds that the manager wants to add another forward to his ranks and has “made it clear Barbosa is the perfect fit for his Reds revolution.”
But with “Gabigol” representing Brazil at the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Santos have said a decision on his future will not be made until after the Games.
