Memphis Depay Miss Team Bus Ahead Of CSKA Clash

Memphis Depay missed Manchester United ‘s team bus and had to drive himself to meet up with the rest of the squad at The Lowry Hotel.

While United’s squad turned up on the bus together, former PSV man Depay arrived in his black Mercedes five minutes after his teammates.

The squad are at the hotel ahead of Tuesday’s
Champions League clash with CSKA Moscow at Old
Trafford.

This latest move is unlikely to endear the 21-year-
old, who has also been dropped from the Dutch
national squad, to manager Louis van Gaal, who
previously defended his £25million signing’s form.

Van Gaal said: “I have said that he is the greatest
talent of his age but he is also only 21 and that is
also an age you cannot expect consistency.
.
“He is also in a phase of his career where he has to
adapt to many things so I have expected this. But I
am convinced he is coming back, maybe stronger
than before.

“But we have to give him time, like Anthony Martial.
But maybe Martial will continue scoring goals and
help us to win matches, but I expect him to also
have a dip in form.”

Regardless of his questions surrounding his
punctuality, Depay is, according to United, a slight
injury doiubt for tonight’s game.
