Barcelona forward, Lionel Messi will go down as the best footballer in history with or without a trophy with Argentina, Lionel Scaloni has said. The Argentina coach recently revealed that Messi doesn’t need a title with his country to prove he is the best.
According to him, Argentina really deserves the trophy on Sunday because the players have given their all throughout the tournament.
Scaloni added that Messi has already done enough to show why he is the greatest player to ever kick a ball.
His words, “Win or don’t win, he will continue being the best footballer in history, he doesn’t need to win a title to demonstrate it.”
“Obviously, we want to win because we haven’t made all this effort not to break the bubble.”
“In the background, whether Leo wins or doesn’t, he has already demonstrated that he is the best in history, and even the opponents recognise it.”
