The Honourable Minister for Health, Dr Ehanire, has stated that a report of the COVID-19 situation in Nigeria is being prepared by the Ministerial Expert Advisory Committee.
Dr Ehanire who stated this during the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, said that the PTF on COVID-19 has set aside stringent measures to limit the importation of the virus, she thereafter charged people to adhere to all non-pharmaceutical measures in curbing the spread of the virus.
The Minister in her words, noted that she has given directive to the NCDC and the Department of Hospital Services to create a strategy for monitoring sample collections for COVID-19 at outpatient clinics of federal tertiary institutions.
The use of facemask is more important in the fight against coronavirus as it prevents the transmission of the virus and as well prevent contact with droplets. According to the Minister, wearing a mask protects not only is but also those close to us.
