A new poll conducted by financial website Money Examiners reveals that a huge majority of workers feel secure about their jobs.
Just one-in-four respondents said they did not feel good about their employment situation. Real unemployment, however, as measured by non-government entities like Gallup.com still shows unemployment in the U.S. at 6.5% and underemployment at 15.6%, with many regions of the country measuring much higher.
Feeling good about work is critical to having a productive and successful work-force. Studies show that employees who like where they work and what they do achieve higher levels of productivity and and are able to advance in their careers more rapidly than those who don’t.
