Ex Manchester United midfielder, Tom Cleverley has come out to announce his retirement from professional football. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, he is very grateful to everyone at Manchester United, especially Paul McGuiness and Sir Alex Ferguson, for giving him the amazing foundation he needed to be a footballer.
Tom added that MUFC made his dreams come true on and off the pitch, and he is pleased to have come through their academy.
His words, “Special mentions must go to Manchester United, especially Paul McGuiness and Sir Alex Ferguson. The people and the club that gave me the foundations as a player and person and also the club that made my dreams come true. To come through the academy and represent the first team gives me immense pride.”
