Super Eagles manager, Gernot Rohr has come out to say that he hopes Victor Osimhen will be fit to feature in Nigeria’s AFCON qualifiers. He recently revealed that he has reached out to the centre-forward after his recent injury, and he was assured of his good health.

According to him, he also spoke to the player directly, and Victor told him he is better physically and mentally, even if he can’t play again right away.
He added that his thoughts are with the Nigerian striker because he has clearly had a difficult start in Italy since he moved from France.
His words, “I spoke to Victor, he told me he’s physically and mentally okay now but must wait for the club doctors,”
“My thoughts are with him because he’s had a difficult start in Italy, but he’s a strong boy and he must wait for the doctors to clear him to play again.”
“He’s an important player for us and we’ll see how it goes at his club first because his well-being is very important for everyone.”
