Mr. Danladi Jatau, the Speaker of Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has called on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and other stakeholders to rally behind Governor Abdullahi Sule to fulfill the aspirations of the people.
The Speaker made this appeal in response to the Supreme Court’s judgement in Abuja on Friday, which upheld the victory of Governor Sule of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state’s gubernatorial election.
The Supreme Court dismissed the appeal filed by Mr. David Ombugadu, the PDP governorship candidate, citing lack of merit in the case.
Describing the court’s decision as a triumph for the people of Nasarawa State, Speaker Jatau praised the Apex Court for upholding the electorate’s choice.
He commended Governor Sule’s legal team for their diligent representation and urged all citizens, regardless of political affiliations, to unite in supporting the governor’s administration to deliver on its promises.
In congratulating Governor Sule, the APC, and the people of Nasarawa State on the victory, Speaker Jatau assured that the 7th state assembly under his leadership would provide the governor with unwavering support.
He emphasized the assembly’s commitment to enacting laws and passing resolutions that benefit the state’s populace, urging residents to uphold the rule of law and show respect for constituted authorities.
