Governor Nasir El Rufai of Kaduna state has given N29m to family members of the Zaria bomb blast victims.
Leadership reports that those involved in the blast that occurred on July 7, 2015, in the Sabongari Local Government secretariat , were civil servants.
El Rufai, while presenting the money said “We all need to continue to be vigilant, continue to protect civilized values from all sort of extremists.”
“What is within our power is to perform the obligations that we owe our deceased staff.”
He also said “The group life insurance death benefit cheque that will be presented today cannot replace lives, but it can remind those that are living that the contributions of their loved ones are appreciated and cherished.
“We are creating jobs to give people dignity and reduce the number of people that might be easily tempted to criminal behaviour.”
The Governor also revealed that his government’s budget for 2016 was based on the projected internally generated revenue of between N3 billion and N4 billion monthly.
Meanwhile, El Rufai has dared the President of Omega Fire Ministries (OFM) Apostle Johnson Suleiman, to tell him when he will die.
The Apostle, in a sermon said if the Governor does not revoke the controversial religious censorship bill he will die.
