Popular activist, Aisha Yesufu has come out to blast members of the National Assembly for constituting a panel to investigate the bribery allegations levelled against Bobrisky. She recently had her say via a viral video, and Nigerians have been reacting.
According to him, she wonders why the lawmakers are investigating Bobrisky’s matter when they have more serious issues to attend to, and it is sad that this is what they have decided to do this while Nigeria is sinking and dying before our very eyes.

Aisha added that National Assembly has turned itself into some useless institution with the way they waste their own time.
Her words, “This whole Bobrisky saga is a nonsense that I do not know even how to describe it, that a country that its citizens are starving, that its people are suffering, that there is so much hardship in the land, unprecedented hardship; that the National Assembly is now focused on a Bobrisky matter. I cannot fathom. There are agencies that are supposed to do all of that, the EFCC, Police, ICPC, they are already there…go and do your thing and ensure that no wrongdoing was done..but the way and manner in which our National Assembly that should stand on so many issues that affecting our country have decided that they are going to major on the minor.
The National Assembly has turned itself into some useless institution. Amongst the three arms of government, you happen to almost be like the most powerful. You make laws, you can hold executives accountable., rectify treaties, you do confirmation of appointments, you have oversight functions and yet you sit down and waste your time on things that are not things that should not be wasted on. What is wrong with you for goodness sake?
The country is sinking before our very eyes, the country is dying before our very eyes but what is most important to the national assembly is a Bobrisky and Very Dark Man matter…what a disgrace. An absolute disgrace.”
WOW.
Bobrisky is a Nigerian internet personality and philanthropist who is known as a prominent transgender woman in Nigeria, a country with no LGBT rights. She is also known for her presence on the social media app Snapchat.
Born Okuneye Idris Olarenwaju in 1992, Bobrisky completed her secondary school education at King’s College, Lagos. She also attended graduate school at the University of Lagos (UNILAG).
She became recognized by being highly controversial on social media for the ultra conservative Nigerian standards. Bobrisky was able to gather traffic to her Snapchat account when she claimed she had a lover who is assumed to be of masculine gender despite the law in Nigeria stating that same sex relationships is an offence punishable by serving 14 years in a penitentiary.
Bobrisky has a fair share of fans and has been asked by certain event planners to give speeches at their events. In 2019, Otunba Olusegun Runsewe, Director General of Nigeria’s National Council for Arts and Culture, called Bobrisky “a national disgrace” and said she would be “dealt with ruthlessly” if caught on the streets.
