All Political Parties’ Youth Leaders Advocate for Increased Allocation to Youth Development
The National Youth Leaders Forum of All Political Parties in Nigeria has urged for a review of the recently passed N27.5 trillion budget to prioritize youth development in the country.
Speaking at a press conference in Abuja on Monday, Muhammad Auwal Musa, the Chairman of the forum, highlighted the need to allocate a significant portion of the budget to youth development initiatives.

Musa emphasized that the current budget does not adequately prioritize youth development, which he believes is crucial for stemming the emigration of talented youths and reducing brain drain.
He stressed the importance of investing in Nigerian youth, citing their pivotal role in shaping the country’s future.
The forum proposed allocating at least 20% of the budget to youth development, focusing on areas such as quality education, skills training, and employment opportunities.
They asserted that such an allocation would demonstrate the government’s commitment to empowering the youth and ensuring their active participation in the nation’s progress.
The call for a budget review comes after the recent passage of the budget into law by the National Assembly.
The forum’s advocacy reflects a growing concern among youth leaders across political parties about the need to prioritize youth development in Nigeria’s economic and social policies.
