Leicester City coach, Brendan Rodgers has come out to say that Wilfred Ndidi’s deployment to a center-back role will be temporary.
Brendan Rodgers recently revealed that Ndidi will return to his midfielder position when his current CBs come back from injury and suspension.
According to him, Ndidi is a player he has great confidence in, so he trusts him to be a professional to step up in times like this.
He added that the Nigerian has been playing the CB position very well and has shown that he has the qualities to play as a central defender.
His words, “Wilf is a player that I have real confidence in,”
“He played the position [centre-back] very well and he has the attributes to play there. We don’t want him there for a long period of time.”
