The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has announced the approvement of the promotion of 99 Command Officers of the agency by the governing board.

According to the NDLEA those promoted include Sunday Joseph Nbona, who was before now the Assistant Commander General of Narcotics but has now been appointed as the Deputy Commander General of Narcotics alongside other 60 Assistant Commanders of Narcotics.
The NDLEA stated that other staff promoted are five Commanders of Narcotics, who were promoted to position of Assistant Commander General of Narcotics, while 33 Deputy Commanders of Narcotics, have been promoted as Commanders of Narcotics.
In his remarks the Chairman/Chief Executive, NDLEA, Colonel Muhammad Mustapha Abdallah stated that a total of 1,311 staff consisting of rank and file were promoted while 2,788 others were promoted subject to change General Promotion Examination.
