Delta’s nominated minister, Mr. Festus Keyamo, promised on Monday that he would not let down President Bola Tinubu.
Ex-Minister of State for Employment, Labour, and Productivity Keyamo expressed gratitude to the Senate for its “magnanimous consideration,” promising not to let the Senate down.
He disclosed this information during a post-screening meeting with reporters in Abuja.

I want to thank Mr. President for his entire compassion in providing me this rare opportunity to serve this nation,” Keyamo remarked in response to the Senate’s generous review of his nomination.
My gratitude to him is inexhaustible. I want it to be perfectly clear that I will not let you down, Mr. President, or the Senate.
Apparently, he had a few epiphanies.
“Perhaps some concessions are always needed other than the rigorous adherence to law in the bid and enthusiasm for both the administration and the legislative, to provide dividends of democracy to Nigerians, and to ensure that Nigerians get the benefits of government programs.
It’s important to make some concessions in order to help the Nigerian people. Because Nigerians are often the ones to bear the brunt when people stick to their guns in the name of legality.
In the words of the Senate’s President, “I want to thank the Senate; I want to thank the Senate President and all the distinguished Senators for their magnanimity.”
