The newly appointed Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Yusuf Abdullahi, has vowed to secure Kano State for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 elections.
Speaking to journalists on Sunday after his arrival in Kano, Abdullahi emphasized his commitment to supporting President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, especially in the housing sector.
He expressed gratitude to the president for his appointment and pledged to align his efforts with Tinubu’s vision.
Abdullahi assured Kano residents that his role is not only a personal achievement but also a significant opportunity for the state and the nation.
He promised to work diligently to ensure APC regains its foothold in Kano come 2027.
“This appointment is for the citizens of Kano State and Nigeria,” he stated. “I assure the President that, God willing, Kano State will return as an APC stronghold in 2027.”
Highlighting Kano Central’s political weight, Abdullahi underscored his commitment to staying engaged at the grassroots level.
“My appointment is largely due to the political importance of Kano Central, a region with a substantial voter base,” he said.
“I will remain active in my ward and constituency to reinforce our political foundation.”
The minister also highlighted his dedication to completing ongoing projects under his ministry, particularly those tied to the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Drawing from his past experience as a former Speaker and Majority Leader of the Kano State House of Assembly, Abdullahi expressed confidence in his ability to deliver on these promises.
