The newly appointed Ogun State Coordinator of Omoilu Foundation, Mr. ‘Leke Shittu on Monday began the tour of Local Government Areas in Ogun State with a visit to Sagamu, Remo North, Ikenne, Odogbolu and Ijebu North local government areas in Ogun East Senatorial District to strategise with the Coordinators and stakeholders of the Foundation in the Local Government Areas on how to move the Foundation forward.
Shittu, who is also the Foundation’s administrative head in the Southwest geo-political zone, assured the coordinators of Omoilu Foundation’s commitment to making available all necessary resources to enable them deliver on the task before them.
He urged the coordinators to cooperate with the management of the Micro-finance banks in charge of the interest-free micro loan in their respective local government areas, adding that it is when there is cordial working relationship between them and the banks that repayment can be regular.
“The Foundation will not look back in its quest to continually empower the masses and assist them to become business owners on their own. Over 1,200 market men and women across Ogun State benefited from the first phase of the loan scheme. More than this figure shall benefit from the second scheme. Our foot soldiers are currently registering those that are willing to become members of the Foundation across Ogun State. The first set of beneficiaries have spread the gospel across the 20 local government areas in the state. Now, more people are interested in becoming members of Omoilu Foundation. We are glad with this development and we are also ready to help them become business owners,” Shitu said.
He stressed need for cooperation from all stakeholders in order to move the foundation forward.
