Governor Umar Bago of Niger State has announced plans to generate approximately N1 trillion in revenue through the Niger Food Security and Logistics Company over the next five years.
This ambitious target was revealed by Abdullberqy Ebbo, the Special Adviser on Digital Media and Strategy to the Governor, in a statement released on Saturday in Abuja.
The initiative aims to create employment opportunities for over 100,000 farmers who will cultivate crops on more than 100,000 hectares of land across the state.

The statement highlighted that an agreement had been signed between the Chairman of Niger Foods, Mr. Sammy Adigun, and the Executive Director of TGI Group, Sadik Kassim, representing a commodity off-takers firm.
The signing ceremony was reportedly witnessed by the chairman of Union Bank and the Executive Vice Chairman of TGI Group, Malam Faruk Gumel.
The initiative signals the state government’s commitment to boosting agricultural production and enhancing food security while stimulating economic growth through strategic partnerships and large-scale farming ventures.
