The Nigeria Football Federation has announced that the Super Eagles will face Bolivia in an international friendly at the Akwa Ibom Stadium on March 26.
.
This is coming on the heels of the cancellation of the international friendly with the Selecao of Brazil on the same date after the Confederation of Brasil Football (CBF) opted to continue with their World Tour programme in Europe.
.
“We have had to work at a pace to seal agreement for this match, after the Brazilian Football Federation opted out at the last hour,” Pinnick said via a statement released on Friday.
.
“However, we believe that the Bolivia team will give the Super Eagles a good match, as we continue to work on a second match for the Eagles for either 29th March.”
.
The NFF also revealed plans are in top gear to get another friendly game for the Eagles so as to occupy all the Fifa windows especially the March 29 window which coincides with Nigeria’s general elections.
.
The football house is looking towards tying up a friendly game with an African country away from Nigeria as there will be restriction of movement during the election period.
.
“The NFF is committed to ensuring that the Super Eagles are occupied on every Fifa window, with quality games,” Amaju added.
.
The Super Eagles’ last international game was last month when a home-based side with a sprinkling of foreign-based players beat Yemen 2-0 in Dubai.
