Nigerian Actress Ijeoma Okorie Dies During Child Birth

She may not be a popular face to Nollywood movie lovers nationwide but she was once an actress before getting married.

Information coming from Rivers State chapter of Actors Guild of Nigeria disclosed that Ijeoma Okorie NOT Angela Okorie passed away in the wee hours of Sunday February 2nd, 2014 in the labour room while delivering her twin babies.

Because her blood pressure was not monitored, the actress reportedly died due to doctors error yesterday.

Sources from Rivers State said the actress was healthy before being rushed to the labour room.

Late Ijeoma Okorie was a member of AGN in Rivers state before her death.

Here is an official statement from AGN confirming her death:

“The Actors Guild of Nigeria, Rivers State Chapter regrets to announce the painful loss of our member, Mrs. Ijeoma Okorie of Eleme Satellite, who died during child delivery, this morning. It pains more to know that our Comrade died alongside her twin baby.”
