Troops of the Nigerian Army have neutralized Tochukwu, also known as Ojoto, the commander of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its security wing, the Eastern Security Network (ESN), in charge of Ihietukwa Command in Orsu Local Government Area of Imo State.
The Army disclosed this in a statement on its official X handle on Tuesday, detailing that the troops of the Joint Task Force Operation UDO KA, based on reliable Intel, were on a clearance operation around Udda, Ihittukwa, and Orsumoghu in Orsu Local Government Area when they clashed with the terrorists.
During the operation, the terrorists used Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) to stop the advancing troops.

However, the joint troops, with superior firepower, forced the criminals to withdraw in disarray.
The encounter resulted in the neutralization of four of the irredentists, with others escaping with gunshot wounds. Tochukwu, known as Ojoto, was among those neutralized.
Items recovered from the hideouts included one AK-47 rifle with two magazines, two automatic pump-action guns, three handheld Baofeng radios, one laptop, one Techno phone, car keys, a substance suspected to be Marijuana, Biafran currencies, five IEDs, IED-making materials, batteries used in detonating the IEDs, and assorted charms.
