Shehu Sani, a political activist and analyst, has criticized President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet picks.
According to Sani, Nigerians are hoping that Tinubu will appoint a team of miracle-working technocrats.
As he prepares to form his cabinet, Tinubu gave the Senate a list of 47 ministry nominations.
The president sent a 28-person nominee list to the Senate last week for review and confirmation.
He forwarded his second group of ministerial nominees—this time, 19 people—yesterday.
It is widely speculated that the cabinet list is made up of technocrats and people who were paid for their support in the most recent presidential election.
To counter this, the former senator for Kaduna Central tweeted, “The nation was kept waiting for the coming of the miracle-working technocrats; some climbed the trees, some mounted the rooftops, and some stood on the peak of the rock…”and lo, the technocrats have arrived.
