According to report from Defence Headquarter, another jeep filled with explosives has been uncovered after a combing exercise in Muna, Maiduguri. The jeep was said to be containing Improvised Explosive devices and was recovered by Nigerian troops after the area of discovery was garrisoned off.
Maj-gen. Chris Olukolade who is the Military Spokesman gave the information in Abuja after emphasizing the progress of Nigerian troops over war against terrorism. He, however, made it known that the jeep, together with two Hilux vehicles have been destroyed from the terrorist den after the search signaled a flight for the terrorists caught unawares.
He points out that a total six suicide bombers had detonated themselves around the garage in the encounter between the Nigerian troops and Boko Haram members. This led to a score of causaulities recorded after the miserable attack on the civilians around the area.
In an additional statement, he said that military explosives guidance experts assisted by Police Bomb Disposal Unit are still on the search to uncover more explosives that might have been planted by the nefarious terrorists group.
