The Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) has given Kayode Egbetokun, the head of the Nigerian police force, 48 hours to get out of the National Union of Road Transport Workers’ (NURTW) headquarters in Abuja.
This was announced by NLC in a statement released Monday after an urgent meeting of the National Administrative Council (NAC).
As a result, the NLC requested that President Bola Tinubu immediately dispel the false rumours that have been spreading about him since a group of people, backed by security forces, seized control of the NURTW’s secretariat.
You may remember that the NURTW administration had previously voiced concern over purported plots to target the organization’s Abuja headquarters.
