US President, Donald Trump has come out to say that he received a letter from Volodymyr Zelenskyy saying he is ready to negotiate with Russia. He recently had his say during an address to Congress while quoting from the letter, and the world has been reacting.
According to him, nobody wants peace more than the Ukrainians, and Zelenskyy’s exact words were wanting to work with President Trump’s strong leadership to get a peace that lasts.
Trump added that it is definitely time to end this senseless war, so he’ll keep talking to both sides.
His words, “Ukraine is ready to come to the negotiating table as soon as possible to bring lasting peace closer. Nobody wants peace more than the Ukrainians.
His exact words were, My team and I stand ready to work under President Trump’s strong leadership to get a peace that lasts.
It’s time to end this senseless war. If you want to end wars, you have to talk to both sides.”
