Super Eagles midfielder, Alex Iwobi has come out to refute claims that he is playing cautiously at AFCON 2023. He recently had his say while lauding goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali for his excellent displays, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, he does not know if it appears like he is playing cautiously on TV, but that is not the case, and he stays giving his all for the team.
Iwobi added that Nwabali deserves a lot of praise for recovering in time from his injury to help the team.
His words, “I have no issues. If that’s how it looks then that’s how it looks, I’m just playing my game.”
On the goalkeeper, “Nwabali is a soldier, the fact that he was able to withstand that injury and fight for us shows how much he loves us and wants to fight for the country.”
