The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Yushau Dogara Ahmed, has cautioned corps members against posting orientation camp activities on social media platforms.
General Ahmed emphasized that the penalty for such actions is decampment if the corps member is caught.
The NYSC boss issued the warning while addressing corps members deployed to Osun State for the Batch B Stream I national service at the NYSC permanent orientation camp in Ede on Friday.

“It is an offense to carry activities of the camp and post on social media. The penalty is that such corps members will be decamped,” General Ahmed stated.
He also urged corps members to respect the opinions, cultures, values, and norms of the communities where they are deployed to serve.
General Ahmed advised against redeployment and relocation, encouraging corps members to stay where they are posted and create their own path. He also warned against frequent traveling without proper authorization.
“Obtain permission before you travel and don’t travel by night. Once it is 6 pm, break your journey and continue the following day. Never joke with your personal security.
Always abide by the advice of the camp officials. NYSC will never post you to unsafe places and don’t put yourselves in unnecessary danger,” he advised.
He emphasized the importance of personal security and hygiene, urging corps members to remain vigilant and clean to avoid health issues such as Cholera.
“You must remain clean. Ensure you wash your hands as much as possible. Avoid anything that will endanger your health,” he added.
