Abuja (Federal Ministry of Finance Report) – The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) meeting organized by Federal Ministry of Finance was held at the Conference Hall, of the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation (OAGF), in Abuja.
Speaking during the meeting, the Accountant-General of the Federation, and the Chairman of the Committee, Mr. Jonah .O. Otunla, used the opportunity to thank all the members for their enthusiasm towards nation building and urged them not to relent in doing their best towards the task committed in their hands.
At the meeting reports of the month of August was presented and the proceeds received for the month of September stated. The reports were presented by NNPC, FIRS, Customs, DPR, Federal Ministry of Mines and Steel Development, PPPRA, Military Pension Board and the Statutory Revenue report was presented by the OAGF Director Funds, Mr. N. K. Dikwa. Mr. Otunla also used the forum, to thank Governor Sullivan I. Chime, the government, the people of Enugu State and the organizers of the just concluded conference of the National Council on Finance and Economic Development (NACOFED), for successful hosting them in Enugu State and the hospitality extended to all participants.
The date for the next Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) meeting was proposed for Thursday 13th and Friday 14th November, 2014 at the Sheraton Hotels and Towers, Abuja.
