Watford striker Odion Ighalo has another opportunity to move to China as Shanghai Shenhua are reportedly interested in the Nigeria international.
Ighalo in January 2016 had a huge £200,000 per week, four-year offer from a Chinese side but turned it down to remain at Watford.
A year later it seems another opportunity to move to China has presented itself as Chinese Super League side Shanghai Shenhua want to sign the 27-year-old.
Ighalo has been struggling to make an impact at Watford this season with just a Premier League after scoring 15 in the last season.
Premier League side, West Brom were said to be interested but manager Tony Pulis revealed that they pulled out of the deal due to Watford’s asking price for the Nigerian striker.
Along with Shanghai Shenhua, Hebel China are also monitoring the situation and could be ready to pay the Nigerian up to £200,000-per-week.
Ighalo revealed that he couldn’t sleep thinking about a huge £200,000 per week, a four-year offer he received from a Chinese side.
“I was very close; they made a £10m bid and were offering me over £200,000 a week; a four-year contract. I couldn’t sleep for three days,” Odion Ighalo told Daily Mail in February 2016.
The Chinese transfer window doesn’t close until February 28.
