Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has approved the immediate removal of Dr. Maureen Ekhoragbon as Chairman of the Edo State Senior Secondary Education Board.
The development was announced in a statement on Sunday by the Secretary to the State Government, Ikhilor Musa, who, however, did not specify the reason for her dismissal.
Governor Okpebholo has approved the appointment of Dr. Rita Otibho Erewele as Ekhoragbon’s replacement.
The statement described Dr. Erewele as a seasoned educationist and administrator with over 20 years of distinguished service in Nigeria’s education sector.
“She holds a Ph.D. in Educational Administration and Planning, as well as Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Education from the University of Benin,” the statement added.
It further noted that her appointment takes immediate effect.
