Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, on Friday, April 1, 2016, shared an embrace with ex-first lady, Patience Jonathan.
The duo were pictured hugging and laughing while attending the funeral of Late Deaconess Margaret Umahi, the mother of Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi in Abakaliki.
Obasanjo was instrumental to the emergence of Goodluck Jonathan, Patience’s husband, as president but began to openly criticize Jonathan towards the end of his tenure.
Obasanjo has however said that he doesn’t regret helping Jonathan become president.
Other dignitaries who attended the ceremony include the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Ali Modu Sheriff; Deputy National Chairman of the PDP, Chief Uche Secondus; former Secretary to Government of the Federation, Chief Anyim Pius Anyim and Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike among others.
