Former Deputy President of the Senate and Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for Delta Central Senatorial District, Ovie Omo-Agege, has issued a strong warning to individuals planning to manipulate the 2027 general elections.
Omo-Agege gave the warning during the flag-off of his campaign in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, declaring that anyone who attempts to rig the election would face serious consequences.

He insisted that Nigerians would no longer tolerate electoral fraud or allow their votes to be stolen, adding that voters had become more conscious of their rights and were prepared to defend their mandates.
“It’s rig and die. Anybody who tries to rig the 2027 election will face the consequences. We will not allow anyone to steal our votes,” he declared.
The former lawmaker maintained that the era of ballot manipulation should be brought to an end, urging those involved in the electoral process to respect the will of the electorate.
Omo-Agege also alleged that his campaign, family members and supporters had faced intimidation and attacks. He called on security agencies to pay close attention to political activities in Delta State ahead of the elections.
He further appealed to the international community to monitor the electoral process to help ensure that the 2027 polls were conducted peacefully and transparently.
The NDC candidate expressed confidence in his party’s prospects in Delta State, predicting that the party would defeat the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming elections.
He urged his supporters to intensify mobilisation efforts in Delta Central and across the state, stressing the need to secure electoral victories for NDC candidates.
Omo-Agege, who previously served as Deputy Senate President, is seeking to return to the Senate under the NDC platform after his previous political engagements under the APC.
His warning comes amid growing political activities and preparations by parties and candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The conduct of the polls, protection of voters and prevention of electoral malpractice are expected to remain key issues as political campaigns gather momentum.
