The members of the Action Alliance (AA) have voted to keep Adekunle Rufai Omoaje in his position as national chairman.
The party’s elective convention was conducted at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in Abeokuta, Ogun State, on Saturday, where Omoaje was subsequently elected, according to a statement released by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Olu Omotosho, in Kaduna on Saturday.
The statement claims that security personnel were present during the election to complement the observers from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

According to the statement, the convention also elected the following officials: National Youth Leader Alhaji Wasiu Adeyemo; National Legal Adviser Barr. Abiodun Rufai; National Women Leader Mrs. Aisha Abdulahi; and National Financial Secretary Prince (Dr.) Awolola Awofala.
Mr. Oladele Sunday, chairman of the electoral committee, stated that the party would be using option A4 to elect its leaders in order to demonstrate openness and honesty.
To paraphrase what he said: “The election was transparent, and the most acceptable candidates emerged at the end of the process, and the process that produced all the leaders was free and fair.”
In his acceptance address, Adekunle Rufai Omoaje, the party’s national chairman, promised to provide effective leadership and lead the party to victory.
He stated that the party would never stop working for Nigerians and would always give strong leadership that would bring the country to prosperity.
