Ade Adetimehin, the state chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has denied reports of discord within the APC in Ondo.
Adetimehin claims that the ruling party in the state is still committed to fulfilling its promise to bring the benefits of democracy to the people.
On Monday, Adetimehin told reporters in Akure, the state capital, that the party’s various branches have been working together in harmony to better serve the people of the state.

The chairman of the party also praised the party’s state leader, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, for his hands-off attitude to party matters, which he said had led to greater harmony and cooperation among party members.
He went on to say that the opposition has been won over by Akeredolu’s leadership style.
Adetimehin also noted that the party’s members’ ability to work together has helped make it a strong force in elections across the state.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) is the sole politically cohesive group in Ondo State. We are united and without animosity. Our efforts are coordinated by Governor Akeredolu.
He is a strong supporter of the party’s right to rule. He stays out of the party’s daily operations entirely. He makes it possible for the group to function smoothly. That’s what makes us the most cohesive group and the dominant political force in the state.
