The Governor of Akwa-Ibom state, Udom Emmanuel has asked the opposition parties to sheath their swords and work for the development of the state.
According to Punch, the Governor said this on Tuesday, May 30, 2017, while celebrating the second anniversary of his administration.
Emmanuel also said the false reports that are being spread by the opposition against him will not help the state grow.
According to him, “Instead of being professionals in the profitless business of pulling others down, let us all be experts in the lucrative business of forgiveness.
“This is not the time for anger, resentment, bitterness and the desire for recrimination against the people. These can only deaden our spirit and lead to self-inflicted wounds.”
Governor Udom Emmanuel also described the negative reports about him as a clog in the wheel of progress.
