The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused Governor Ademola Adeleke’s administration of mismanaging state resources and falling short of expectations despite substantial financial inflows.
Speaking on Thursday during the governor’s second-anniversary celebration in Osogbo, APC spokesperson Kola Olabisi alleged that the state government received significant federal allocations and grants between January 2023 and September 2024.
However, he claimed the administration has failed to translate these funds into meaningful development or impactful projects for residents.

According to Olabisi, “From January 2023 to September 2024, Osun State received N385 billion from federal allocation, grants, and internally generated revenue (IGR), including N4.3 billion UBEC and N1.3 billion TETFUND grants for education infrastructure. These figures exclude the federation allocation, which has doubled since subsidy removal.”
He further highlighted discrepancies, noting that in 2022, the state received N73 billion in federal allocation before debt deductions, compared to N153 billion by September 2024, which exceeds the N99 billion projected for the year.
Olabisi criticized the Adeleke administration for prioritizing allocations to the governor’s office, which he claimed recorded a 170% performance increase, while neglecting key economic sectors.
The APC called on the state government to provide a transparent account of its expenditures and ensure the funds are utilized effectively to foster growth and development.
The opposition party warned that continued inefficiency in resource management could hinder the state’s progress and urged the Adeleke administration to take decisive action to meet the expectations of Osun residents.
