Nollywood couple Gbenro Ajibade and Osas Ighodaro are now proud parents! The duo welcomed a baby girl on the 21st day in June 2016, and now, actress Osas Ajibade has just revealed she came earlier than expected.
Recall that just recently, news of her pregnancy went round when they featured on the May cover of Genevieve Magazine where they revealed they were expecting their first child. “I don’t want to jinx this pregnancy,” Osas told the magazine on why she’s keeping the news of her pregnancy low key.
Today, actress Osas Ighodaro revealed that her baby came earlier than expected and was born on June 21, 2016. On her Instagram page she wrote, “To God be the Glory!!!! Our lil princess has arrived earlier than we expected but all on Gods beautiful time!” adding, “We couldn’t be more the happier, prouder and blessed for her! Happy 1 week old our beloved princess and we thank God for His love & mercy! Thank you to everyone for all the well wishes and support. We are overwhelmed with gratitude and appreciation. Peace and Love Always #June21st #BabyAjibade #GodisGreat.”
Their little bundle of joy definitely caught everyone by surprise!
In the Genevieve magazine interview, Osas Ighodaro talked about her pregnancy superstitions. “This is my first child and I do not want people’s opinions or judgement at this time. I want to take back that power from the public and enjoy my pregnancy with all its challenges. Unfortunately, I am aware that this is the industry I signed up for and people will always judge.
“It is a very sensitive period for us especially with my older sister passing away from malaria when she was with child. My mum is really protective and she is on board with my keeping this pregnancy a secret” she told Genevieve Magazine.
She also stated that she would like to have 10 kids if her husband, Gbenro Ajibade, accepts.
