The out-going Minister of State for Works, Amb. Bashir Yuguda stated that for three years, the Federal Ministry of Works has completed and delivered to Nigerians over forty projects across the country.
Amb. Bashir stated this while handing over to the newly appointed Minister of State for Works, Prince Adedayo Adeyeye.
He also stated that before the advent of President Jonathan’s administration, Nigerian roads has been termed as death trap, but for the past three years that himself and the Minister of Works, Arc. Mike Onolememen, take over the Ministry, Nigerian roads have become relatively better, travelling time has reduced and the cost of car maintenance has also reduced.
The newly appointed Minister of State of State for Works, Prince Adedayo Adeyeye, commended the out-going minister for a job well done for the nation and also promised not to slow or break the success that has been recorded.
Prince Adeyeye appealed to the Permanent Secretary, Directors and the entire staff of the Federal Ministry of Works to support him for a successful tenure.
Also speaking is the Permanent Secretary, Alhaji Abubakar Koro, who commended the out-going minister for the good and dedicated job he did, assured the new minister of full co-operation of the entire staff of the ministry.
Amb. Bashir appreciated the Permanent Secretary and Directors for support and corporation during his tenure as the Minister of State for Works.
