In the midst of the ongoing political crisis in Rivers State, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of scheming to weaken opposition parties and establish a one-party state in Nigeria.
The NWC, in a press statement released on Thursday by Hon. Debo Ologunagba, the PDP National Publicity Secretary, emphasized its commitment to providing strong and effective leadership to ensure the stability, growth, and efficient management of the party.
The committee also warned members against making reckless statements.

Ologunagba highlighted the NWC’s efforts in addressing the political situation in Rivers State, asserting that these efforts have been yielding positive outcomes.
Despite facing challenges, the PDP maintains its unity and strong presence in Rivers State and other parts of the country.
The NWC condemned certain leaders for their irresponsible behavior and remarks aimed at undermining key organs of the party.
It urged party leaders to adhere to the PDP’s constitution and cautioned them against actions that could be detrimental to the party’s interests.
The statement reiterated the NWC’s commitment to providing stable and effective leadership under the Acting Chairmanship of Amb. Umar Iliya Damagum, especially in the face of the APC’s alleged attempts to weaken opposition parties and establish a one-party state in Nigeria.
