There has been a significant influx of members from the African Democratic Party (ADC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) into the ranks of the Action Alliance (AA).
The decampees come from the Local Government Areas of Adavi, Okehi, Ogori/Magongo, and Okene, which are all located within the Central Senatorial District.
The leaders of the Decampees took turns giving reasons for the move, saying that they are tired of their old party as they are interested in a leader who has the interest of the masses at heart and that they are interested in a leader who has the interest of the masses at heart.

Hon. Ibrahim Omonesi, a former Council Leader of Adavi Local Government who recently defected from the PDP, stated that he believes the manifesto of AA will put a stop to poverty in the state.
On his part, the Honourable Fidelis Sadiq, a former member of the PDP, stated that after his experience and encounter with Braimoh, he has opted to pitch his tent with AA for the realisation of his objectives to the State. Sadiq remarked that this decision came about as a result of his decision to leave the PDP.
Hon. Momoh Jimoh Obeito, who just defected from ADC, stated that Otunba Braimoh is the most serious candidate for the governorship election on November 11th in Kogi State, which is the reason why he is determined to join AA in order to rescue Kogi State from its state of abject poverty.
While Deacon Fred Ambo, acting chairman of the AA, was meeting the decampees, he welcomed them with a call to work diligently to deliver the candidate of the party in the election that will take place in the following month.
In his remarks, the AA Governorship Candidate, Otunba Olayinka Braimoh, commended the defectors for making the intelligent decision, and he urged them to engage on ward to ward campaigning and win more members for the party.
According to him, his success in the polls is guaranteed on account of the new people who have joined the party in addition to the other significant endorsements that he has received.
Braimoh made a commitment to end the state’s reliance on federal funding and emphasised that the state is self-sufficient thanks to its wealth of resources.
