The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the just-concluded Anambra State governorship election, Jude Ezenwafor, has pledged to work with Governor Chukwuma Soludo to advance the development of the state.
Ezenwafor made the pledge on Monday during an interview on Sunrise Daily, a Channels Television programme monitored by newsmen.
He described his relationship with Soludo as longstanding and cordial, saying, “I can assist him. I have been assisting him before; he is my friend. I brought him to work in Anambra.”

The PDP candidate revealed that he encouraged Soludo to contest the governorship election while serving as Senior Special Assistant to former Governor Willie Obiano.
“I convinced Soludo to contest the election in the first instance when I was Senior Special Assistant to Governor Willie Obiano. He came, he did well, and there is no perfect person,” he said.
Ezenwafor also commended Soludo and his team for being proactive in addressing security challenges in the state, while advising the governor to prioritise inclusivity and strengthen security operations.
Reacting to allegations of vote-buying during the election, Ezenwafor dismissed the claims as exaggerated.
